Emergency surgery or Acute Care Surgery (ACS) is a subspecialization in the world of surgery that plays a crucial role in treating patients with critical conditions that require immediate intervention. ACS covers various aspects such as trauma management, non-traumatic emergency surgery, and intensive care for surgical patients. In the last decade, technological advances and a multidisciplinary approach in ACS have had a significant impact on the success of treating high-risk patients. 

However, the complexity of cases faced in ACS, ranging from major trauma to intra-abdominal emergencies, requires continuously updated expertise. This challenge is further increased by innovations such as the use of robotic technology, advanced imaging, and minimally invasive approaches that require in-depth understanding and proper training for surgeons. Therefore, a seminar on the latest updates in the field of ACS is a must.
